A multi span greenhouse is often the right commercial answer when climate is moderate, capital is constrained or the project must prove market demand before scaling. Results depend less on buying the cheapest frame than on specifying ventilation, screening and irrigation to match the crop.
Multi span is often the stronger choice when the market will not reward premium winter quality, when the financing envelope is tight or when the owner wants to phase technical risk. In those situations, lower entry cost can create a healthier return than forcing a glass concept onto the wrong market.
The most common multi span mistake is treating the structure as the whole project and stripping out roof ventilation, screens, irrigation control or water handling. A disciplined low-cost greenhouse with the right climate package will outperform a nominally better structure that cannot control plant stress.

Fully equipped multi span film greenhouses are often 40 to 60 percent lower in capital cost per square metre than comparable glass facilities. The real comparison must still include film replacement, crop value, winter production limits and the quality premium your market may or may not pay.
Quality horticultural film usually lasts 4 to 6 years, depending on UV load, chemical exposure and installation quality. Serious buyers treat replacement as a planned operating event, with labour, timing and production interruption already built into the model.
